you know, i've loved tommy emmanuel for quite some time and always knew that chet atkins was a lot of his inspiration. for some reason, though, i had never heard chet atkins before. now that i have heard him play, he's got to be one of my favorite guitarist i have ever heard. i'm going out to buy some of his music!

This is about as good as it gets. Chet's touch, tone and dynamics make this a flawless performance. This really showcases how great a guitarist he was.

@ernlay every song is for everybody! in best case you do a song in your own way. mr. atikins did that! so it's good he played it, otherwise nobody had ever play it like that!

if you like this youll like the chat atkins and jerry reed video were they play together
-
is their any Cd of Chet this song is on?

I like what Earl Klugh did with this tune...Klugh basically taught himself to play by listening to Chet Atkins records when he was younger...amazingly...he later performed with Chet on TV (along with George Benson) All these players are unique masters in their own styles.,,

I like Chet Atkins and think he was one of the "Greats", but this is not one for him!

Sounds more like this is not one for you. Chet played this tune for many years. His arrangement of it is flawless.

You're certainly right about that! I like this arrangement less than any other I've heard, and I've heard lots of them.
