"Wallander" is one of the few crime dramas to ever really reach me emotionally. This scene is testament to the strength of Mankell's writing, Branagh's acting and the perfect synchronization of both. Isa's relationship with Wallander is so REAL in this scene, and she's such an easy character to sympathize and/or empathize with that her death made me hurt both in sadness and in fury. I wanted to see the killer die.

@Defor11dog errrm YES HE IS, idiot, why do u think he solves all the cases he's a good cop fucksake
-
@AnnoyedSpectator he's not a good policeman. That is frequently mentioned in the book.

@Defor11dog errrrrrrrm Wallander is a really good policeman, what are u going on about????

This brings tears. The desecration of beauty and youth. Kurt couldn't protect her. Kenneth Branagh shows true pathos here, with the best acting I've seen from him in years. More, please! The Dogs Of Riga esp.

beautiful storyline and short relationship between kurt and isa. i love how this young actress was able to go toe-to-toe with kenneth b. and hold her own in this scene. she is pitch perfect and so charming as isa. this is great television.

This is a very good series of books, and good series of movies as well. It's funny the only thing people can say about this on YouTube is "OMG she's cute."
