@strongrj Yours is one of the most intelligent observations about the differences in music I've read on here in a long time. Hip-hop always has a place in my life but as I age I find the message it sends tends to lose me now.
This has to be one Billy Paul's classiest recordings. It's amazing how during this time, the 70's, the older and the younger found great pleasure in the same music. As much as I love hip-hop it seems to have created a rift in the generations. Great post!!
