This was taped at 2 of the 3 early voting polling places for El Paso County with a population of 600,000, where the state Attorney General, Coffman, has been sued for illegally purging the voter rolls and the local clerk, Balink, has tried to suppress the vote at Colorado college with LIES to the students about registration, and then a letter from a GOP lawyer threatening them with IRS tax problems for their parents, if they vote here.

During the midterm election of 2006, there were twice as many poling places for early voting. Lines, on the last day of early voting were from 2 to 4 hours to vote.

  • Good reporting.

(Technical: Nice handheld shooting... especially like the pan tilt on the escalator!)

  • did that little bastard kid say barrack obama?

  • Well boo hoo, someone has to wait an hour in line. Tell that to the Iraqis that were given highly visible thumb stains and were told that they would have their thumbs cut off for voting. And I don't see any black panther party thugs with pipes. You are in an a/c mall. Yes it could be better arranged but come on.

  • i waited 2 hours

  • Long lines are a de facto voter suppression. Just as the woman says, she may not be able to stay long enough to vote because she has obligations elsewhere. If you think long lines are not enough evidence of voters suppression, then click on the links provided and see what else the elections office did in this town. All together, it adds up to voter supression.

  • Lines were that long everywhere! This is not proof of voter suppression!

  • So does Colorado not ticket people from out of state? LOL

  • What a travesty. This is an easy issue to fix.
