Sadly, this B-17 was destroyed June 13 2011 in Oswego Illinois, it appears it made a forced landing & was totally consumed by fire...fortunately its crew escaped unharmed...

i saw this plane when it came to connecticut in the summer of 2009! it was simply amazing! when it flew over my house i was surpised when i heard the engines running! i looked up and i was like holy cow a b17! it simply amazing! i love b17s! thanks for the upload!
