Jim Flaherty, Stephen Harper's Conservative Minister of Finance, seems to think everyone was as clueless about the state of the economy as the Tories.

  • theGritGirl, I don't know who you are but keep these coming! The sooner we get the Reform Party & the Mike Harris rejects out of Ottawa the better.

  • It is painfully obvious that Harper did see this coming and rather than getting to work 'he made a grab for a majority by trumping up an excuse to walk away from Parliament.

    Great Vid!

  • Man whore

  • Screw the people and their "starvation". This isn't Africa. Entire villages aren't destitute. Want a job? Open the classifieds. Walk around and drop off your resume. Employers like proactivity.

Unemployment and social programs are too comfortable for our, the taxpayer's, own good. Let the bums "starve".

Capitalism on the way up, capitalism on the way down.

And yeah, Jim is either uninformed or a lying sack of sh-t.

  • This guy is a fucking asshole. He cuts all budgets just like the jack ass he is with the stupid conservatives and let people starve like crazy. I wish someone can slap that ugly face of yours u dirty son of a bitch.

  • peter schiff predicted it in 2005

  • Dam it! STUPID VIDEO!! The recession started way before oct 2008!!! Were in recession since 3 years fools! Open your eyes! It just get worst enough to make people to think about it!

  • What do you expect from the same guy whose plan to end homelessness in Toronto was to make it illegal. Perhaps he can make recessions illegal too. How about we make dumbasses illegal.

  • There were some economists who predicted the global recession and pointed at the derivative market as the cause.

  • Hey Gritgirl...I don't support the Conservatives or Harper's handling of the crisis. However, this work is completely unfair and partisan. No economists were predicting the major fallout of Wall Street, but a recession was likely, the government didn't even deny that in early 2008. No one was predicting the collapse of financial institutions seen in late 2008. That event, which has made this recession so difficult, was never predicted.

  • While I'm at it...doesnt this guy remind you of Laural and Hardy or some say Fred Flinstone!!!! Just sayin...

  • Thank GOD for the liberals when they secured our banks! It's really the only thing Harper is proud of and he had nothing to do with it!! They are pitiful arent they! Especially this nut!

    Sorry Tories indeed!!!
