One of my first attempts at rotoscoping lightsabers with blaster bolts in Adobe After Effects using the beam effect for the lasers and Ryan W's lightsaber tutorial for the saber. Please comment.

  • ur saber looks freakin gay

  • I'm sorry you feel that way. Please tell me how I can improve.

  • ok. well its kinda a combination of two things. next time you do it try holding it lower down on the handle cuz it looks a lil weird when you hold it near the top, also you are making it wide too often, only make it really wide if your moving it real fast cuz urs kinda looks like a bat lol

  • Interesting. The only reason I was holding it toward the top of the handle is because that's where this saber was most balanced and I think the fanning problem is because of my camera which has no manual shutter speed or anything. If you look at the raw footage it looks the same. So I guess I should rebalance the saber and get a new camera. I suppose I could do that.

  • @Pendulumproductions Your lightsaber is fine. I can't even tell you're holding it "wrong".

  • It looks like you're dancing LOL nice vid

  • i have a question, did you use rotoscaping?

  • whos that guy screaming in the background? lol nice vid

  • preety good but lasers kinda slow

  • Very Nice

  • you can buy it for between $800-$1000 on the site as a download or get the software package in some stores, probably circuit city and best buy. i don't know which.

  • Where did u get Adobe after effects? did u buy it or did u download it,,, if u download it PLEASE send me the link!!! btw,,,,,,,,,,, NICE VID!!! <33

  • Who is this? And why should I consider your comment when you used the wrong form of the word 'your'. See, in the phrase you're using, 'you're', not 'your' is a contraction of 'you are'. And on top of that, you're missing a comma. So your comment should be written: "Preston, you're such a nerd."
