Assess your client as she really, really is... This may sound basic, even stupid, but look at your client closely when you first meet her. Look at her as a whole. Do you see HER? Or do you see her clothes first? What is she wearing? Do the colours suit her, or not?
What she's wearing and how good the result (or not) should be one massive clue as to whether she's got cool or warm tones at least! And if you can establish that from one look, you're half way to a full seasonal diagnosis. And that will give you immense confidence right from the outset of your session.
