A music gear demonstration of the ToneStyler BASS control by Garth Fielding; Stellartone endorser, bass guitarist, and producer.

In this new video, Garth takes us through the incredible tonal palate of the ToneStyler BASS control; see why Garth puts them in all his passive bass guitars, and hear how they expand his tone... whether he's doing a recording session, or performing live. To find out more about Garth, and to hear more of his work, check out his new "Classic Bass Tones of the 60's & 70's" HD instructional video, and his other musical & video productions, at www.garthfielding.com

The ToneStyler is the original 16-position tone selector for electric basses and guitars. Offering a drop-in replacement for the standard tone pot in electric basses and guitars featuring high-impedance passive pickups, the ToneStyler selectively cuts treble and passively boosts pickup resonance, without losing essential midrange or rich harmonics. 100% pure analog tone - zero noise - no batteries! Available in standard and bass EQ ranges. For convenient modular use, the Micro Pedal product series allows one ToneStyler to be shared among many instruments. Made in the U.S.A. • the ampeg micro-vr is a good amp

  • @Radar1zone Yes, it sounds great, and it looks cool, too! Please check out Garth's recent B-15 demo on the Ampeg channel... and keep an eye out here for more Ampeg info. Thanks for your interest! Best regards, Don @ Stellartone

  • Hi Garth, I have a Fender Jazz reissued 75 made in USA. I wonder which model tonestyler should I buy ? They have several models but its not clear which ones goes better with which basses ? Thanks for answering...By the way, you have such a beautiful fingerstyle and your groove is so inspiring....

  • @carlJazzBass For 2012, Stellartone is making only one ToneStyler BASS version: the B-806. This model is the correct size and voicing for your J-bass... just use the supplied 'split-2-solid' shaft adapter kit for a proper fit to your original Fender set-screw tone knob. Thanks for your interest! Don @ Stellartone

  • Hi Garth, does this device have the split or solid shaft?

  • @herrdruhl Thanks for your question. Garth's J-Bass is loaded with the ToneStyler BASS B-584 with solid-shaft and notched rotation. For 2012, this model has been superseded by the B-806 with stainless-steel split-shaft. For use with set-screw knobs, just use the supplied split-shaft adapter kit. Thanks for your interest! Best regards, Don @ Stellartone
