@chesneyincognito It's worth noting that the all yellow kit was actually Liverpool's THIRD choice at the time. Their away colours were white-black-white - same as Manchester United.

why are both teams in there away strip?

@reddan73 The FA used to have a rule for the semis and final of the FA Cup which stated that both teams should wear their away kit in the case of a colour clash (unless alternative arrangements could have been made). Other examples include West Ham v Arsenal (1980 final) and QPR v Spurs (1982 final).
