If you are going to tow a trailer, or if you want to wire up some accessories that need power, such as a winch or utility lights, you are going to need to install a wiring harness. This video shows you, step by step, how to complete the installation. There are some tips that will explain how to remove the tail lights, remove the plugs, install the ground, route the wires, and avoid damage to your Jeep Liberty.

  • My only complaint is you needed to explain to people the mystery of the ball studs when removing the taillight. Some people will be reluctant to pull hard fearing something is going to break. First time I tried to replace mine, it took me 25 minutes of adjusting and manipulating-- fearing I was going to break something, only to find I just needed to pull really hard to pop out the ball studs.

  • We appreciate the feedback. I will pass this comment on to see about adjusting the video.

    Thanks.

  • Just wanted to say thanks, installed the hitch and wiring harness this weekend. Since I'm not that car savvy I wouldn't of been able to do it with out your videos. Very easy to follow. Anyways thanks again!

  • Great stuff. Thanks :)
