This is the fastest I've gone on a folding bike so far. Top speed was 43.8 mph according to the Garmin Connect page: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/104518888.

This is near Markleeville in Alpine County, CA.

  • Didn't I see 60mph on there at one point? That's awesome.

  • @matchpoints You did, but that wasn't my actual speed. Since I don't have the speed/cadence sensor on my bike, the Garmin relies solely on satellite signals for speed. I often get interference, especially while riding through densely forested areas. Since Monitor is out in the open, I think it was sunspots this time.

  • @joxerlee1 Oooh yeah! With a road bike it probably would have been a 50 mph descent.
