  • This beautiful song written by the little known Bononcini doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Very few other arias can compare as far as sheer grace and beauty is concerned. Pavarotti certainly does it the justice it deserves.

  • pavarotti at his best. i wish his voice hadn't changed, or he hadn't decided to start singing heavier. at this tempo this song is almost impossible to sing. or at least sing it like him.

  • Thank you for uploading this. It is just wonderful. Best wishes from New Zealand....

  • wtf SERIOUSLY...who are the three ppl who disliked this....get a fucking life.

  • Sé que son voces e interpretaciones incomparables y no me canso de escucharlo a Luciano en ésta. Sin embargo recomiendo escucharla a Joan Sutherland.

  • @Qlahskeyi who? when?

  • what? why?

  • I usually do not care for his voice. But, he sings this song absolutely perfect. His ornamentation is spot on. It takes tremendous breath support to sing this song at this tempo, and he does it so effortlessly. His high register isn't as heavy on this song either. That's what makes this version the best I have heard. The rest are all amateurs and should strive to sing half as good as this.

  • This aria does get quite a lot of recognition as it is one of the standard bel canto song books, practised by every singing student worldwide. Perhaps because of that, it is little performed in public

  • Luciano is so incredible, even when he's not soaring the skies his incredible voice keeps it's strength and can touch a heart.

    Especially mine :)

  • one of the most beautiful song:)

  • Not to disrespect Pavarotti, but I prefer this a bit faster. It's supposed to be a happy song, and I don't quite feel that at this speed. Granted, the text could be taken as longing or slightly mournful as well, but the setting is most certainly joyful.
