This is a short documentary my group partner and I made for our P350 Digital Video class at IUPUI. We chose to do our topic on the Plainfield Fire Department, focusing on one particular firefighter, Derek Donelson. With Derek being my brother, he was able to get us access to the stations and allow us to spend the day with him and his fellow comrades. We were also fortunate enough to get to ride along with them and videotape whenever they received an EMS run.

  • great vid

  • i want to be a firefighter

  • PopR1ne find a local fire explorers post or cadet program through a department near you, also some schools offer fire science as an elective, some colleges might even let you take theirs, my school offers fire science so i took that and also got on an explorers post. Thats a good way to start a career in the fire service, still gotta go to college though as some depts. are requiring a degree now.
