Missouri roads are covered with snow and ice

This was on KYTV on December 2, 2006. I-44 was gridlocked in two areas after a major winter storm that hit November 30. Some people were stuck in traffic overnight from late Friday to Saturday afternoon.

i live in springfield, mo and i can tell you that about a month after this video, springfield had what is now ominiously referred to around here as "2007 ice storm." most of the city was without power for days and that means homes and businesses. my son's birthday is january 17 and since we had a gas kitchen stove, we had some heat and i made his birthday cake by candlelight. it was just trying to survive one more day wondering if this would be the day your power would come back on.
