Research? Do you think I'm getting my information from the Canadian Gazette? He makes everyone that plays around him better and I can't take credit for being the first to say that either. Countless pro's, analysts and nba legends have said the SAME. I don't have to research something that's in plain sight. David Robinson was The Spurs best player before Duncan but never got to the finals and never got a ring when he led the team. It wasn't until Duncan came along that he got his two rings.

People outside this region hardly get to see the spurs play unless it's nationally televised much less living in another country. How are you gonna compare what you've seen from them versus the countless games I've seen them play. Youth is ignorance

I recommend looking up someones profile before contending their posts. If I was a 22 year old kid from canada, I wouldn't tell a 33 yeard old man from San Antono that THEY are the ones that need to do more research on a local team they follow night in and night out. .

Steve Smith was already a well known former allstar before he got here but like Moses Malone, Chuck Perkins and Nick Van Excel...they came aboard when they were in during the twilight of their careers and playing alongside Duncan gives other players more opportunity because so much of the other teams attention is focused on him.

Same goes with Elliot, great player that probably would have made a bigger name for himself had he played in a bigger media market but playing alongside Duncan made him more effective.
