The point it actually proves is that vigilante justice is as morally transparent as the legal decision to not do the right thing. When Rice refuses to pursue the case against the other individual who got off scott free, the main character makes it a point to become the next worst thing until Rice understands what he should've been capable of doing all along.
It's pretty much a call for social and legal reform -- end the threat of vigilante justice, make the legal system right again.

That was brilliant work you did aprimitivesoul...The movie was very good...I can hardly wait till Feb. 16th when it gets to come home with me and I get to play it over and over and pause and rewind...etc....Gerry is by far the best actor I have ever seen. I don't usally go crazy over an actor in fact Gerry is my first and most likely my last. Great Job!!!!!

I'm really impressed. This Technological thriller was stunning. This genre isn't very popular but should be. Gerard Butler made this film - phenomenal acting. He should leave useless comedies and focus on more serious roles like this one. Of course the storyline wasn't that original. We could see many similarities with other technological thrillers like The Net, Disclosure, The Specialist, The Assassination File, Untraceable and even Minority Report but still it was superb movie!!!

This was the greatest film ever... The justice he invoked was outstanding. I jumped up and cheered when he cut the guy up into 24 pieces. Everyone in the theatre thought I was sick as hell. Let me tell you this, I have been in the Marine Corps, and I have worked Intelligence, and there are guys out there like him. You'll NEVER know who they are, but they could kill you with a blink of an eye... I absolutely LOVED the film. First time I ever saw anything remotely like this..I would do the same..

@sirmucko i dont understand why people hated the ending so much, certain people he killed shouldnt of died. Like the girl he killed in her car, there was no need for her to die she wasnt involved at all with the previous court case, jamie fox yea probs should of died. But gerald butler had to die in the end, i thought the film was amazing and the ending was sad but brilliant. The fact they had to kill him to stop him proves how good he was.
