The main body looks like a commercial airplane engine.

Is this intentional, or am i looking too much into it?

You guys, it probably looks like the Scarab so much because they're both bug based designs. If you look hard enough, though, you'll see that Syrsa's is a lot more organic looking. The Scarab looks like it's built for power, but it's bulky. The Targnilian Destroyer looks like it can move a lot faster. Of course, I have no idea what the Scarab is like in Halo, so I can't make a fair judgement.
