@zkyggen Bars are used as measures of music in Hip-Hop and other music. Hard to explain, but emcees usually write a line that's exactly a "bar" long, and then the next "bar" has a last word that rhymes with the last word of the first "bar." That's the easiest and most standard way of writing bars. But emcees like Big L and Big Pun took it to another level and wrote amazing bars that flow so well.

I'm tired of hearing idiots saying Pun is better than L, or that L is better Pun. If you're a real hip-hop head, you'll know they have a different style. Pun is about multiples and complex bars, L is about clever punchlines and flow. Besides that, they are both the best MC's that ever lived and should not be compared.
