  • Yes, this was kind of weird when I first heard it from Jack Clark, but the more I played around with it, the better results I received...the best way of explaining it to ingrain the muscle memory is as simple as hitting fungoes. Throwing the ball up and hitting it needs more top hand to put backspin on it...we need to slice down like a samurai would with a sword. The all time homerun leader in Japan Sadaharu Oh used to slice a paper hanging in thin air like this when he would train.

  • I dont see the uppercut that's going on in the second swing you took after the first two. Looks like your keeping the barrel of the bat over your hands? I was always taught never to do that. I play D1 College Ball in VA. right now but I do have a tendency to hit a lot of towering fly ball outs. Also seems like your rolling over on purpose with your top hand? Am I mistaken or could this be a great drill for me?
