MELEE's origin dates back to 1982 when a band of teenagers assembled under the name of "Stickfytes"© in a residential front yard. In 1988 the founders changed it's name to "MELEE" which stands for
Martial Enactment League Enabling Expression©."

Don't be fooled by the nerfish oversized swords and spears. They may be covered by foam and duct tape but that's pvc pipe underneath and those suckers hurt! And don't be thinking the players are nerdly little Conan wanna-be's. Those aren't Mama's little boys or sissy girls. Newbies learn real quick to swing hard and run fast or return home with a mosaic of bruises.
So, who wants to play?
