It must be difficult to "respect the court & court proceedings" when the judge has the IQ of a carrot. A judge is the leader of a team, with prosecutors, county attorneys, cops and yes.......even public defenders making up the rest of the team. They all work for the state. Their job??? Make money!! I recently heard of a teen ager (20ys old) fined $360 for underaged drinking (no driving involved) The judge said "we could take your license; but pay the fine and we won't." Try to respect this BS!!

Keep up the good work! You can bet I will be campaigning on campus against Judge "Jerk Off" Breland. The most important thing to note is the FACTS of your client's case. Intimidation is no substitute for justice. You are far and few between what most Austin attorneys are. It's sad enough that court rooms have, in the vast majority most cases, a 2nd prosecutor with a judge. It's an even bigger slap to the face of justice when there are 3. 95% of Austin's defense attys don't care; You do. Kudos.

I've had the misfortune of being involved in the T.C. system for over a decade. I can very much sympathize with why you made the gesture you made to the court. Your client had nothing to lose by going to trial. Travis County's tactic is to wake you up at 4:30 in the morning strapped to a bunch of jail twits & make you plea to something even if you're not guilty. You are a bastion of what the so-called "adversary" system is SUPPOSED to be about. If Mr. Myers wasn't my attorney, I'd hire U
