The Jim Couch Foundation hosted the first annual Super 16 National Freshman Game at Baruch College in New York City on October 23rd, 2011.

The Super 16 National Freshman Game celebrated Jim Couch's career; Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's first coach. This showcase is in honor of Couch's work in the New York City community as a leader and innovator of basketball training and mentorship. This event is an evolution: its genesis comes from the 2007 launched Jim Couch Reunion Games that featured the NBA's Kemba Walker and Tobias Harris as headliners; the 2008 Girls High School game featuring the best of Westchester vs. the best of NYC metro; the 2009 expansion that included regional teams from Boston, Connecticut, Albany, and New Jersey; and the 2010 Freshman Game that featured the top 9th graders from the New York Metro region vs. Long Island's top entering freshman.

Andrew Fleming (6-4, Guard, Ensworth HS, Nashville, Tenn.); Chancellor Ellis (6-4, Forward, Rectory School, Pomfret, Conn.); Cheyenne Nettleton (5-9, Guard, Holy Cross HS, Queens, N.Y.); Chris Atkinson (5-9, Guard, Long Island Lutheran, Brookville, N.Y.); Horace Spencer (6-9, William Tennent HS, Warminister, Pa.); Isaiah Briscoe (6-3, Guard, St. Benedicts Prep, Newark, N.J.); Jamar Ergas (6-3, Forward, Montverde Christian, Montverde, Fla.); Jerron Love (5-9 Guard, Clovis West HS, Fresno, Calif.); Kamar McKnight (6-4, Forward, St. Patrick's, Newark, N.J.); Karl Towns, Jr. (6-10, Center, St. Joseph of Metuchen, Metuchen, N.J.); KeJuan Johnson (6-6, Forward, Wheeler HS, Marietta, Ga.); Marcus Derrickson (6-6, Forward, Paul VI HS, Fairfax, Va.); Marcus Floyd (5-9, Guard, The Phelps School, Malvern, Pa.); Stephen Zimmerman (6-10, Center, Bishop Gorman, Las Vegas, Nev.); Thomas Bryant (6-7, Bishop Kearney, Rochester, N.Y.); Zach Radz (5-8, Troy HS, Troy, N.Y.)

Coaches for The Super 16 National Freshman Game Presented by the Jim Couch Foundation included former New York Knick John Wallace; Chad Babel, Director of Hoop Group Elite; Mark Jerome, Executive Director of the Riverside Hawks; and coaches Jim Hart, Wayne Simone and Wayne Wilson.
