I bought an ancient record compilation of folk banjo playing. It had a mindblowing instrumental version of this song by Eric Weissberg that I cannot find anywhere else.

this reminds me of hedy west, she stayed in our home in early 70s during a swedish leg, and she played the banjo a lot.

This is great. I love Bert Jansch, been trying to work out The Waggoners Lad but not much luck with it yet. All the best, John

Thanks Flatfoot. Love Bert Jansch too and all the Pentangle stuff - I saw him playing a little club in Cornwall about 20 years ago accompanied by a crazy electric jazz guitarist. It was a wild sound , unexpected but it worked so well with Berts acoustic and 'that voice' - Good luck with Waggoners Lad - Best wishes, Andy
