The founder of Victims of Chiropractic Abuse, Inc. - a survivor of chiropractic stroke - testifies before the Connecticut State Board of Chiropractic Examiners on the need for Informed Consent prior to neck manipulation. Chiropractors in the audience heckled her during the presentation sparking an emotional response. Date: January 19, 2010
I sort of agree with her in principal. Chiropractors should inform patients of the risk of neck adjustments. How ever she mis-spoke. I have never been told by any medical professional the risks of a procedure or medication. The problem isn't exclusive to chiros its field wide. Every doctor should let every patient know the risk of every treatment they provide not just chiropractors.
