Unless you're a 12 year old, marketing has nothing to do with your preference of beer. I'd rather spend 12 dollars on a 6 pack (be it domestic or import) than 8 dollars on a Coors or Bud. It's because of the taste, at least for me.
Big name American beers taste like water, but not the microbrews, they have a taste all their own!

american bud is ok, it's drinkable(they always serve it on the plane and it's fine there) but otherwise in my opinion it's nowhere as good as the original budvar budweiser from the czech republic. that's the real thing!
it's actually a shame anheuser-bush got the rights to brew under the name budweiser. the original brewers in the town of Budweis were entitled to the original name of their town, not some american copy
