Supporters of Ohio Senate Bill 5 claim that voters should uphold the law because it is only asks public employees to contribute 10% of their salaries to their retirement and pay 15% of their health care costs. However, the final version of Senate Bill 5 is 304 pages. It doesn't take 304 pages to only change retirement and health care contributions. Senate Bill 5 changes a lot more than retirement and health care contributions.

  • @PanoramaOfScripture - Are you opposed to police officers, fire fighers and the military because they are government workers?

  • cont...We've taxed ourselves to the point that the only jobs that give you a guaranteed retirement are govt jobs: that means when govt employees are told by their un-elected bureaucrats to discriminate against a section of people in the future they will most certainly do it. And where a person can get fired in a second for insubordination in the private sector it takes an act of God to remove them from a govt job. Vote YES on Issue 2; then vote out every INCUMBENT and get in a new guy!

  • This would not be an issue if the government didn't WASTE our tax dollars! You should NOT want to be a government worker! There should be enough money in the private sector to make wages more appealing than government position! BUT, due to Americans believing in the Nanny State they flock to govt jobs because they are paid by the taxpayer and they can negotiate like NO ONE ELSE IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR CAN!!! I wish I could get the yearly raises EVERY government employee gets!

  • Well done.
