  • Beltless or was it on underneath your sweatshirt?

BTW- Do you compete and if so raw or equipped?

    LIFT STRONG STALLION

  • If belt is not visible, there is no belt. I do not compete at the moment. Thank you.

  • i love the way you look up after the 1st set; what is the music?

  • I think it says in the end? If not, ask again.

  • Oh well, I realized just now that this was an old video you commented on, my previous answer was based on how I do it these days. At that time I just sat on a bench, or walkes around in the pauses. Trying to psych myself up for the next set. That particular workout was a tremendous workout. One of my best ever!

  • Thanks my friend! I film every set. So after each set I try to catch my breath while sitting in a chair and watching the set I just did on the camera. Then I decide if it was a good set or not, and take mental notes at to how the technique was. Then I might go back and forth, and sometimes I use a small rubber ball for shoulders and neck against a wall in the breaks to work on the troubled spots. I never time the rest periods. I just rest till I feel I am ready, and then I do the next set.

  • The name says it all, STALLION! :)

Mind sharing what you do in the 5-10 min rest periods? Perhaps thats why you thanked Sandra? ;)

  • Hello Sir! Thank you for a most nice comment! Goto t-nation and use their search feature and search for stallion front squat smolov. Read the thread "Smolov - Front Squat". Rest between sets was very long. Did not measure time, but it was between 5-10 minutes I think. Too short rest intervals would break the workout. Progress on the entire Smolov was about 20-30kg 1RM increase. (read the T-nation thread for details). Good luck in your own training!

  • That has to be one of the hardest lifting efforts I have seen put forward. Do you remember about how long you rested between sets and the time it took in total to complete the workout? Also how much did smolov raise your front squat max, before and after?

  • Yes, this training is legendary. I have not done anything better since this I think.
