SONNETS ALOUD #2: The Funeral, by Donald Hall.

During the post-war years, inspired largely by the energies of Ezra Pound, there was a kind of rebirth in interest in the traditional forms of writing poetry, and sonnet-writing came into focus in America. This poem is a very fine example from that time period.
