Michael Zweig, Professor of Economics and Director of the Center for the Study of Working Class Life at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, on the economic realities of the downturn.
@TheAnonymouz I've lived off of between $15,000 - $20,000. I now make almost twice that. I paid for school, public transpiration, shelter, and some clothing. I made the tactical decision to buy a car. Why, to finish up school. I could work the same crappy job and actually 'save' more money. In the past 1.5 years I've spent $20,000 between my car and it's insurance.
Why do I spent the money? I want something more out my life.
I agree, he is really good at covering a great deal of info in a clear and understandable manner.
I'm currently reading his book "The Working Class Majority" and am impressed. I'm glad he is helping bringing light to the forgotten majority of Americans.
