  • superbly crafted fabulous work, lots of exquisite moments, bravo !!!

the babies are delightful, parents relaxed, are you their keeper?

  • @katsandroses Actually I'm not. But I do know both parents very well, as I am continuously following them since 1 year now.

  • Egyptian Geese are beautiful little birds.

I was happy to have seen a couple families of them growing up, over a few years at Mile Square Park near where I used to live.

  • @LHRT229 Yes the parents do have names. The male is named Beto and the female Della.

I have considered tagging, but the lack of informations and resources I've got has made it impossible up to this point.

  • The second setback came, when everything seemed to go really well, until I came on the 14th day, I just counted 9 goslings. Since that day, I'm glad to report, that there have not been any further losses.

It is very difficult to tell goslings apart the first few weeks, as they don't really have any features which differs from the other ones.

  • @LHRT229 First of all, I really glad and thankfull that you seem to enjoy watching these beautiful little goslings.

To beginn with, there were 11 goslings who succesfully hatched and managed to get to the pond, accompanied by their parents. After just 3 days, one gosling has been predated by a carrion crow. I know this because, I was unfortunate to have witnessed it and as I tried to run after the crow, who had the screaming gosling in his bill.

  • Cute

  • Sweet work! Neat looking Geese, have never seen or heard of the Egyptian Geese. Are they a pest like the Canadian Geese, or are they a treat. Great looking colors.

  • Very nice. I like they way the family stays together ...

  • @AlopochenAegyptiacus they are really ok with you !! :-)
