check out Jimi Hendrix "Hear my train a coming" (classical guitar version). Sounds very similar...Nevertheless, it was rendered well by Rahman too.

the last guy is partly right. learn music for a year or two (even listen to 'nuff of it) & u can tell it's a reasonably cool mish-mash of things already pointed out...WUWH, Blind Man Cries, zillions of Ry Cooder-style slow blues, & Carnatic violin pitched so as to peak the intensity. the idea that u cn 'nativise' rock vocals is a v.old one. in kerala Aviyal did it quite well. wich isn't to say it's a lousy song. it's got a thing to it. great to see kaithapram lyrics get grandiose rock treatment.

Kill That one bastard who dislikes the song!!!!!!
-PS: If anyone thinks this song is a rip off, You either dont know anything about music (or) you are that person who learned music of a year or two and think you know every shit about it (or) your just one ignorant Bastard/Bitch :P.

it sounds LIKE. But it isnt. Learn to appreciate what we have. our uniqueness. our language. and yes. deep purple is amazing and YES. Jet sounds like ACDC ,.. but you dont see any australians complaining.
Praise the director.. or just dont listen to it.
no offense.
just because you have a mouth and the constitional freedom to express doesnt mean that you talk poop. ..some of the notes sound similar to Wish you were here, thats all. It has a bluesy feel to it (the antara part). The similarity ends there.
