I can understand what George Coyne, in away i agree with him, even though i don't believe in god.
i just love Father George Coyne! Richard Dawkins on the other hand is an empty shallow revolting individual!

Father George Coyne Questions the science but he cannot question the church!!
So Pope is right, Bible mismatches is ok, Story of Lot from sodom and gomorah is ok as well, slavery from bible is also ok...., Stupid in my knowlwdge..., Richard Dawkins still rules.

Basically he thinks believing in old stories doesn't make on devoid of all reason - WRONG IT DOES.

[about scripture] "All that we believe...are HUMAN beliefs". I'd wish that every church sermon and every bible reading started by saying that. Theist children should understand this before even starting to read the bible. I hope men like father Coyne use their understanding to cure their religion... and don't just keep it in a small circle of "believers who do know better".

I don't agree with everything Fr. Ccoyne says, but he is a sensible guy and he has been an outspoken opponent of Intelligent Design being treated as science. I have no doubt that he is a good man, and he is clearly open-minded and intelligent. Neither Dawkins nor Coyne attempt to talk each other down or argue, but rather listen and respect each other's views. It makes for a much more interesting, respectful debate.
