@GreatLakesShips I was there for that in '85 but they were only letting friends and family of the shipyard workers in to watch. We heard a lot of banging then a splash. It was kind of a non-event.

The MV Paterson was launched April18, 1985 that was the last ship launched at collingwood shipyards.

I Find it sad that collingwood has stoped launghing boats now the shipyards are turning into places where they are building condos its a shame , like i am 16 and i only wish i could se a boat launch man that would be a thril my father has seen all of them since 1960 and he told me that thay were amazing
