Finally, the media are connecting the dots and realizing the push for alternative energy is taking a toll on the American economy. The Labor Department reported on February 20 that the Consumer Price Index (CPI), a key inflation reading, rose 0.4 percent in January, matching December's rise. One of the culprits behind the spike -- increased food costs because corn is being used for ethanol.
i agree with that totally >>>>>>corn ethanol led the world to that economic crisis

YOU CAN'T GROW CORN PROFITABLY ON WHEAT FIELDS.
Wheat nets AT MOST GENETICALLY 40 bushel per acre. Corn nets 160 AVERAGE in the corn belt.
If a farmer can grow corn profitably where he once grew wheat why not??? Eat TACOS you pizza eating Dagos. Of course I think this was 100% lies.

Farmers are replacing wheat fields with corn ??? The US planted more wheat in 2007 than the US did in 2006 and more than 2005. How about facing the fact that Australia had wheat killing droughts and Europe had problems growing their own wheat also, so they bought the wheat from the US and the markets made the price shoot up. Not because we planted less. Know the facts before trying to report them.
