It happens in an instant to so many men and women fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan: shots are fired or a roadside bomb goes off and they are injured. Their recovery is often slow, their bodies sometimes changed forever. RNN's Carolyn Rowe brings viewers the story of a Long Island soldier, Corporal Christopher Levi, injured in Iraq and struggling bravely through his recovery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
He is truly amazing. May his effort to lasting peace and sacrifices will always be appreciated by the country he serve. We are very proud you, brave warrior. Continue to be strong and courageous, and embrace a new life ahead of you. God is with you through it all.

Incredible person, he went to a military school growing up knowing he wanted to serve his country. The courage he displays is very inspiring. I truly hope he will be walking very soon without additional apparatus besides the prosthetics. To donate: Christopher Levi, c/o Holbrook Fire Department, 390 Terry Blvd., Holbrook, NY 11741
