  • "the kind of relationships we have we determine the kind of money we create"

sounds simple enough to him, but what the hell does that really mean?

how does an every person put that into use, i need details!

  • Having a variety of complementary currency systems to choose from will make it more efficient to trade using one currency rather than another. That is how we put it into use. Support your local currency system.

  • The narrator of this video says Lietaer advocates for "a new world currency". This is false and will scare many away from his ideas. Read his book "Of Human Wealth" it is not advocating for "a new world currency" but rather a multitude of complimentary currencies with local control and local regulation. In fact he's advocating for the opposite of "a new world currency" and it is refreshing!

  • "The first thing to understand, is that money is NOT a thing. It appears to be a thing, it has appeared for many, many centuries to be a thing... but it's NOT a thing. Money lives in the same space as political parties, as marriages... money lives in the space of agreement. Money IS an Agreement. Money is an Agreement, within a community, to use something as a means of payment." Mr. Bernard Lietaer, more than anyone else has helped me dissipate my faulty illusions about money with his clarity.

  • Agreed, except "ground is property of the state". Large power structures are all too corruptible. So whats the answer? i don't know. Dilemma.

Otherwise I think Lietaer/Gesell/Monetary reform voices has the most intelligent answer to our problems.
