  • I prefer to learn from a Chinese master by whom the culture streams in his blood. This is like learning to cook Chinese food from an Eskimo.

  • @47wma: thats what I do. But would you also say, that only scotsman can play golf? I've seen chinese do terrible movements and call it qigong or taijiquan.

  • His movements are relaxed and fluid, but as a long time practitioner I can see some key things that could be improved. Rising and Sinking are a major role in inhalation and exhalation. Thus "rooting" is a major part of Qigong. Also his breathes look constricted, and almost as if he's not breathing at all, or very little through the nose. I don't say this to critisize him, but deep breathes into the stomach, and connecting breathing with movements are the keystones of an advanced practitioner!

This Qigong has a very special breathing technique. The pace is different, not uniform. The breath should be invisible and not heard. I practice various methods of Qigong, this is very unusual and requires long practice
