People just don't write songs with lyrics like this anymore.

How many of us can relate to this song and have been through the scenario Phil's singing about? Yeah...a lot! Love this song! Janie

@kenpalmer1965 Actually, it was released in 1982, but only in the UK (where it was a radio hit), not the US. But it was included on Phil's 'Love Songs, Old And New' CD set in 2005, and was finally made a single in America, and peaked at #5 on the Billboard charts. The wait was worth it!

Fantastic stuff. Thanks so much for this. It was always my favourite track on the album yet was never released as a single - at least not here in the UK. Raw emotion, true life story and very powerful. I haven't heard this in over 10 years yet I remembered all the lyrics. I guess it made an impression on me!

This is a great song! The thing is they didn't begin to play this song on the radio until about two oe three years ago. I heard something that it was never officially released for some reason. But don't quote me on this because I could be wrong about this. Nevertheless, this is a fantastic song once again!

Love these flashbacks! True masters of instrumental craft! Not just producers who know ProTools computer programs! Thank you for posting this! 1:50 is my favorite break in the song! Thank you for posting!
