The Fedora Project is a community effort whose goal is to lead advancement in free and open source software. One of the ways we accomplish that is to bring the best, leading edge, free and open source software to an audience of enthusiasts, developers, and remixers. Another is to constantly strive to bring the best possible toolsets and practices to the community, such as enabling infrastructure, packaging guidelines, and low barriers to entry for as many parts of the project as possible. This presentation talks about how Fedora came about, the crossroads at which it exists today, and possible future directions for the distribution and the project as a whole. * Fedora Project - http://www.fedoraproject.org/ * Red Hat - http://www.redhat.com/ * Paul's blog - http://marilyn.frields.org:8080/~paul/wordpress/ * Utah Open Source Conference - http://www.utosc.com/
