Zoom Sampletrak ST-224 (The Dirt Machine Rides Again)

Here's another clip of the Zoom. I really wish it had more performance based features, but for $75 (plus $15 for the "antique" Smartmedia card) I can't complain.

hey.i just got a dirt machine,i also have a Boss DR-5.how do i play the St-224 samples on DR-5?tried bout everything but wont work.midi channels are right but cant hear a sound.

if you're on channel 10 (typical MIDI drum channel), you'll have to hit shift + MIDI on the Boss. When it says "NOTE#SURE?" hit enter again (make sure you're on the drum track). Now you can touch each drum pad and manually set the note number. The Zoom won't let you set the note number for each pad, so you'll have to do it from the Boss. Hope that helps.

where did you get your sample sounds from?

It's been awhile. The drum hits were cut up from a loop. Not sure what it was. The main drone was either from a Korg Kaossilator (great source for sampler loops) or me playing a generic Yamaha home keyboard. It's flipped backwards, so it's hard to tell. The guitar stabs and feedback squeals are most likely me playing guitar. The bass is definitely me.

i tried with the mrs4 and it works ok, but with the tascam dp01 fx it syncs for 1 minutes ore more and then it dont syncs no more...
