  • I would have preferred to just watch Jerry conduct the orchestra without the montage of clips. I've seen that movie dozens of times, it's great, but us Goldsmith fans like watching him in action, conducting his great music.

  • @Innertauts

bud, that's Jerry conducting The River Wild sessions, not the Capricorn theme....and some of ''us'' Goldsmith fans like the montage of clips too. Thanks for the comment though

  • Liked the presentation and music - one of my favourite scores by Jerry Goldsmith. Thank you for posting this.

  • He looks like me with my glasses in 1:15. :)

  • @Glinkaism1 I know a guy who went out west and took pictures of richard boone running around in the desert making a movie against a crooked sky

  • @spacepatrolman O000hhh 1:16 lovely theme just started on the C1 video.

    * When Elliot turned on the lights in the old hanger and there was the Mars set. * Shaggy dog "cat in on the roof" climber story. * David Huddleston gets off the phone and says, "asshole." James Brolin, "Remember that vacation we took last year?" (Old west movie set)

  • @Glinkaism1 that sounds like when the stuntman went to george reeves house the day after he shot himself he said there werent any bullet holes in the floor they couldnt have replaced the floor that fast if they were trying to cover up a murder

  • @spacepatrolman That was awesome! Would be great to know exactly what they did.

Can't exactly recall the sequence, but Elliot was looking for someone. He goes to an apartment complex and the entire room was done over and the person there had no idea what he was talking about. It was too unbelievable to be believed. I consider that a flaw in the movie.

Some really great scenes though. David Doyle as Elliot's editor satirizes l hokey lines like "I'm giving you 24 hours." :)

  • @Glinkaism1 that part where they rigged his car to drive through alleys at 100 mph must have been animated with stop motion animation and taking frames out no stuntman could drive that fast

  • @spacepatrolman He was absolutely perfect as a journalist in Capricorn One! So was the NASA guy who discovered the space ship was off course.

  • Anyone hear the title music to "Boys from Brazil," which is about using Hitler DNA to make little Hitlers. HA! Gregory Peck starred. The film's title music is a very clever waltz satire. The motif is the Johan Strauss Blue Danube Waltz orchestrated in the style of Richard Strauss. The satirical contrast is that Johan was Jewish and Richard was a supposedly Nazi-leaning composer. Dreadful comparison, lovely music.

  • @usadear2me An utter waste of taxpayers money. This is work for private enterprise. They are smart enough to lobby so the taxpayers pay for it and the space ship civilian contractors make the money.

  • @Glinkaism1 he did the oceans 11 movies
