Dragrace between Hildo, the owner & builder, of a 25 year old Harley Ratbike Chopper and the owner of a 170hp+ Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade. This man has considerable experience racing circuits but this ain't no circuit!
He was sure this race would be a piece of cake against this rolling piece of Harley crap, then things turned bad... Enjoy!!

This vid is identical to the first, but comes with English subs for the Non-Dutch viewers. Leave your comments, but please keep it decent. Thanks and enjoy!!

All rigged!!! The dude on the sport bike dragged feet and didn't even get the front wheel up. Even a 250 in a race will get the nose up. I could beat that Harley Dude hands down with my NC700x. What a joke!

Really? I challenge you bro. We do the same race, my bike against your clearly superior NC700X. Same race, same place. If you win I pay you 2000 euro's. If I win, you pay me 2000 euro's. That's easy money.

    Howabout it?

What a lot of people dont realize is that the honda motor doesnt get full horsepower or torque until 13000 rpm while the harley evolution motor with its hemi heads gets it max power at 2000 rpm and keeps it through the power band

Nice sleeper Hildo. I wonder if fame will cost you $ since people will longer want to race you.

People need to realize sport bikes are not ment to drag race. If the rider of the sport bike was better and had it geared for a short race it would have been different. But those bikes are designed to maintain high speeds around a race track not drag racing. The race played to all the strengths of the harley with the torque and the lower gearing and all the weaknesses of the sport bike with the high hp and high gearing. That guy should really clean up his harley. No bike deserves to stay rusty

you fail, its just because it only were 200meters or so, getting the front wheel up is the slowest way to start speeding

    just my 2 cents ;)

It should, BTW, be pointed out that Harley-Davidson has twice held the world motorcycle land speed record. The first time, in 1975 with Cal Rayborn, it was at 254.84 mph. That wasn't broken until 1975. The second time, in 1990, the record was set by Dave Campos at 322.15 mph; this record wasn't broken for the next 16 years. Whilst those were purpose-built bikes, it rather indicates that Harley's engineering is far from rubbish

The CBR puts out 70 ft lbs at 8000 rpm. The Harley, stock, puts out a bit more than that at *3000 rpm*. However, it ain't a stock engine - it's a stroker, it has a higher compression ratio than stock, and I gather that he's done something with the gearing. It could easily be putting circa 85-90 ft lbs at 3000 rpm. Oh, and the Harley engine is approx 1600 cc.

Hildo's bike is getting on for 1600 cc, and the engine has been modded. It's a stroker, amongst other things - enormous bottom end power. He's also an experienced traffic light racer, apparently. It's not the first time he's done this. Doesn't need the extra horses for what is basically a drag race - just torque. Over distance, the Fireblade would win, cos it can use its horses. Short distance, from a standing start, torque wins.
