@cnh2132 Very short life span? I suggest you do your research. It lasted from 1987 to 1996. There were 737 games released for it.

There are some good tracks here...people need to chill the fuck out.

(I'm just making a shortcut for myself , i want to hear this song)

this version had the best graphics but the vibrating backgrounds hurt my eyes
-
Ive beaten the Nes version without dying
-
does anyone know where I can download the second track on the video?
-
Don't like the soundtrack much, but it looks awesome!

@ObscurelyUnkown Turbo Graphics 16 (or PC Engine). It had so much potential in it but that system was available only in Japan and it had a very short life. I think only about 50 games were released for this system.

I never heard of this Ninja Gaiden. In a way, it looks better, the music sounds pretty good, but I think I would prefer the NES version. :P

So, what was the story of the arcade game?
It is the original Ninja Ryukenden (known as Ninja Gaiden in some areas) that started it all.
The gameplay requires skill to cross, almost an art in itself when you try improving your slashing/jumping coordination to achieve a more faster & stylish way of crossing the stages.
However it first appeared on NES (& Famicom) and the music does not sound this way. The original melodies are haunting till today. That is the real stuff.

Mostly correct, except that Ninja Gaiden started in the arcades, and not the Famicom.

Sure, the NES soundtrack is better, but I figured not many had heard this version. It's weird, every iteration of Ninja Gaiden I know has a different OST, including the original arcade game.
I wish someone made a hip-bop beat of the very first tune for some reason.
