@AUG351 Thank you, sir. It was a job; dirty, hard, and dangerous, but we did our job and our duty to this country. Mostly we don't talk of it much as, unless you were there, you would have no idea of what our words would convey. But please don't feel sorry for us. We, like all warriors in all of history, just did what we had to do. We also sometimes managed to have some fun too so it was a great adventure all around. Just not one I care to repeat ever again. My respects to your uncle.

@MrToshTogo My uncle was a grunt in Nam aswell, he's told me before about how he had to sleep in foxholes at night in the mud and would hear fighting in the distance. He said once the NVA started shelling he's position and he woke up and saw mortar shells landing everywhere. He doesn't like to talk about it much and says it was hell over there, I feel sorry for what you all had gone through over there and definitly deserves respect.
