Candle Dance in this form (one single candle on the head) is Chryssanthi's creation. It is an Oriental fantasy dance based on some Greek folklore. Dancing while balancing things on the head is common among the folkloric styles of belly dance and it is a proof for the perfect isolation of the hips. Isolation of the different parts of the body is a very basic technique in the traditional forms of belly dance.

@chryssanthi This was a really good candle dance! The fact that you were able to hold the candle on your head for the duration of your performance is a testament to your longevity as a seasoned practitioner of belly dance. Bravo, Ms. Sahar.

there was a bald singer who had a rough voice, and in one of his videoclips he had a candle burning on his head, who was it please? thx
