Sound test of unknown japanese guitar (made in the '70). No brand name (probably it is a Cimar or Teisco - but no logo on the headstock ,
only a mark "MADE IN JAPAN" on the back - check on the web and you will guitar like this one).
Guitar strato type with one single coil, one tone & one volume. Tailpiece not original .
The strings are really light (.008) then the sustain is minimum (I think it is better to use .010 or .011 in this guitar).
The sound of the video is not so good, probably due to the Line In of the laptop (see setup configuration).
A nice guitar, for sure not your last and only guitar forever, but a good workhorse to play with.
SETUP configuration used in the Test :
Guitar--VOX AMPLUG AC30-- LINE IN laptop + WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER (No effects used or pedals)
Strings = FENDER PURE NICKEL WOUND ORIGINAL 150s (.008 - .038)
PARAMETERS:
test #1 (from 0.00.00 to 0.04.00)
- Guitar : Volume=10 & Tone= 0
- VOX AMPLUG AC30 : Volume=10 & Tone=5 & Gain=3
test #2 (from 0.04.00 to end - turn the TONE knob to 10)
- Guitar : Volume=10 & Tone= 10
- VOX AMPLUG AC30 : Volume=10 & Tone=5 & Gain=3
The same licks sequence is played in the test (from 0.00.00 to 0.04.00 & from 0.04.00 to end)
