Demo of excellent 'park scope' option on the ETX range of scopes - saves time and effort for next session at the scope and even makes finding Venus in daylight easy!

  • Very interesting and handy attribute, however I believe one of the most intimate relationships associated with celestial viewing is finding the object manually through the telescope. It's a more personal experience.

However, this is something that would be useful if you were short on time and wanted to take a quick peek at it. (: Good video, keep it up.

  • @TheSpaceNews Yep manual finding - been there - done that - for the first 40 yrs ;-)))))) but if you what to look at something new and faint GOTO...

  • People can find objects however they want....honestly I use it more for the tracking than actually finding objects. People who have busy lives usually only have an hour or 2 of observing time a month. With go-to you can see dozens of objects in that time, as opposed to maybe 1/4 of that finding them manually. I hate when people look down on those using go-to, its such an elitist attitude

  • I love the sound of that little scope, it sound like an old copier from the seventies.

  • I love how that little ETX sounds like it's receiving radio signals while tracking Venus.
