They are not totally independent of the other... Without a brain, you cannot have a mind. You need a brain to work, or else you havent got a mind that works. The mind is simply a product of the inner workings of the brain. I am disappointed when people claim that they have nothing to do with one another. Think about it. What is the mind? what is the brain? the brain interprets the horrendous information supplied by the sensory tissues and makes sense of them. Why is not the mind the same?
