This movie was really good and it didn't deserve those numbers. It had it all for an animated action movie

@Vernedi The birds and dogs we see are robotic lifeforms and in the intro we even see a deer die on screen. These are positive messages for children, to protect their only worthy legacy: planet Earth and to fight for their dreams.

They do make a valid point in the context of the film though. Remember before judging the political message you should always consider the context of the story.

In the context we have a dystopian conformist society run by a selfish tyrant who doesn't want to better things and wants the status quo to remain flawed. The Liberal characters of the film want equality, acceptance and to restore the planet to its former glory.

In the movie we don't see any animals but the humans. Lots of pollution.
